Brett founded BHA in 2008. Prior to founding BHA, he has worked for R.A. Hoffman Architects for two years. Brett spent six month at Lyman Perry Architects on the Main Line of western Philadelphia working on vacation residences on Nantucket, prior to that he worked in Pittsburgh as the residential designer for both the Pittsburgh, South Florida and Bahama markets. Brett also spent six years at R.A. Hoffman Architects from 2000 through 2005. He has received both Bachelor of Arts in the History of Architecture from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University. He is registered to practice architecture in Pennsylvania.

Brett has spent over 12 years working for firms in Pennsylvania and has accumulated extensive experience in the design of a wide range of residential projects from, vacation homes in New Jersey and West Virginia, additions, and custom homes in Pennsylvania. The projects Brett has work on focus on detail, scale, and historical accuracy.

Brett has been active in many professional and community service organizations, such as a past member of the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia AIA. While living in Pittsburgh, he was very involved in the Community Design Center, working with homeowners as a consultant to recommend design solutions and refer the clients to resources in the community for historical accuracy. In addition to architecture, his other passion is his family and their activities, including music, volunteering his time as coach of his children’s soccer team.
